What is the CME?

The CME is the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, a global market for trading futures and options on futures contracts. It is one of the world’s leading and most diverse derivatives marketplaces, offering a wide range of products across all major asset classes, including futures and options based on interest rates, equity indexes, foreign exchange, energy, agricultural commodities, and metals. The CME is a regulated exchange that operates under the jurisdiction of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
